Dress up/dress down outfit for wedding

I’m going to a wedding abroad and making a holiday of it with family (including my young children). I want to wear something I can wear again on the trip, so ideally something I can dress down for every day wear but dress up for the wedding - I’m planning to take heels/jewellery for this purpose.
Wedding is in Germany in August so likely to be warm but not hot. I’m late 30s, 5’8 and a size 10, prefer midi/longer length.
Any suggestions?

Budget? Style preferences?

For example I have dresses from these 3 brands. I wear them as every day dresses but equally they can be "dressed up" dresses. But without knowing your budget and style preferences they might be miles off.

Thank you! Budget is probably more like £200. I like those brands but I’m athletic and broad shouldered and really need something with shape as anything too loose makes me look wide all over.

When I went to a wedding in Germany it wasn't overly smart, think summer day dresses rather than traditional business attire so I wouldn't overly worry - some guests thought the wedding was posh because it was British and German, I thought it was dress down!

Look at the Somerset dress by anthropology

I like the shape of the Ted Baker one but the colours would wash me out.
love the Day Dress ones but I think they are too casual. The invitation says formal. Maybe I need to give up on the idea I could re-wear the wedding outfit on holiday.

I do think that in Germany people dress pretty casually/practically (obviously generalising massively). So it might be a stretch to find something that could be described as formal but that you'd also feel comfortable in during the rest of the holiday, unless you've got plans to go to some swanky places!

This popped up again on another thread. It's beautiful. It could be dressed up or dressed down

It’s decades since I was last in Germany, and I can’t say I’ve ever attended a wedding there - so this is only based on what you’ve said here, rather than any informed reflection on local mores.

Maybe something by Realisation? This one is a little over budget, but would be wearable on holiday and once you’re home. Short sleeved or sleeveless would cost a loiter less.

Thanks so much. I’ve ordered the Karen Millen one to try.
