High waisted boot cut seven for all mankind

bettybeetroot · 26/02/2008 10:42

Does anyone have these high waisted jeans? I am thinking about getting a pair as I hate exposing half of my bottom when I sit down in the low rise ones. Are they very high waisted? or inbetween?! Thanks

Have not got those particular jeans but do have seven by all mankind and they are the best jeans on the market - well worth the money.

Pannacotta · 26/02/2008 10:48

Was wondering about these myself, need higher rise since having two babies!
Havent seen them in the shops though, not sure how available they are....

TillyScoutsmum · 26/02/2008 10:50

Watching this thread with interest... Really want some "great" jeans but normally spend £30-£40 from Gap or Next. D'you reckon they're a bit pricey for a mother's day pressie [grin}

TillyScoutsmum · 26/02/2008 10:50

Panna - Next directory do them (I think)

OliviaMumsnet · 26/02/2008 10:51

I used to wear Gap stretch flare which avoided any muffin top and they were only £40 but they've stopped making htem.

Aren't seven ££££££££££££ though?

bettybeetroot · 26/02/2008 10:58

yes they are pretty pricey but after going through dozens of gap pairs i think it would work out the same for me if i bought one pair of decent jeans every now and again (or so i tell myself )

koodos don't have the high rise but are cheapest i've seen otherwise

TillyScoutsmum · 26/02/2008 11:21

wow betty - brilliant link

Anyone know where the cheapest high waist ones can be found ?

Pannacotta · 26/02/2008 11:21

Just found Seven jeans on the Next website which was a revelation, does anyone know the difference between the bootcut and A pocket?betty there was a thread bout the high rise a while back, if you search the archives it shoudl show up, think Enid bought a pair IIRC.

Pannacotta · 26/02/2008 11:24

www.7forallmankind.com/store/productslist.aspx?categoryid=74
here is some info on the cut, the high rise do look better for those who have given birth , less chance of builders bum I sense...
will start the search for a cheap pair...

bettybeetroot · 26/02/2008 11:38

pannacotta I did wonder if they were genuine at first but had a look around the website and it seems genuine - the website is mentioned in grazia also. i've only seen the high waisted ones for £200! so if anyone finds them cheaper please let me know!

I can't find any cheap ones on line which is a shame, they sound just the ticket.
I found the previous thread and it was Enid recommending them but she paid £200 in Selfridges...
May just order a pair of bootcut in the next size up from koodos.

orangina · 26/02/2008 11:48

How do they fit? In other words, if I am normally a topshop 12, would I be a 28? I'm a gap size 6...
(fab website by the way...)

Pannacotta · 26/02/2008 11:50

orangine depends on the cut, prob a 28 or 29 but they do vary, I have two pairs of 28s both bootcut and one is much tighter than the other.
If you can get to John Lewis they sell them so you coudl try a few pairs first.

bettybeetroot · 26/02/2008 11:53

thanks for looking panacotta. orange i wear a 29 in seven jeans and i am a size 12. i am all kinds ofsizes in gap - usually a gap 8 but somes a 6 or 10!

orangina · 26/02/2008 11:53

littleboo · 26/02/2008 12:47

have seven for all mankind in our tkmaxx today

TillyScoutsmum · 26/02/2008 13:19

Oooh - will look in TK Maxx and try some on in JL. Think I will probably then order some from the States and get SIL to mail them over (dollar is so weak at the moment, I should be able to get them for less than £100 incl postage)

Pannacotta · 02/03/2008 12:04

betty did you have any joy in the end with thesae?

orangina · 03/03/2008 14:12

Did you buy them betty? i tried some on in john lewis the other day, couldn't deal with the £255 price tag (!!!!!!!!!!), but think they might have them on your fabuloso website............

noxmasname · 09/03/2008 18:07

I have bought some in Jl and they were only £160 not £225 that people are saying - mine are high waisted bootcut and are lovely. Did I buy the wrong ones? Or do the prices vary in different JL's?
