Which of these hairstyles are more modern?

Trying to decide which way to wear my hair. I would like to look modern.

Centre Parting and full fringe
OR
Side parting with fringe grown out

Either of these suit me the most, but which is more 2023?

Well according to my 18 year old a side parting is so old fashioned it’s virtually a war crime! However she has bright pink & purple hair & looks like she’s part my little pony, so who knows🤷🏻‍♀️

Both outdated if I'm being honest, the second one more so. In fact side partings are regularly ridiculed by the youth!

The current style is a middle parting with side sweeping fringe pieces each side. But to be honest I think you're better off choosing a style that suits your face over what's trendy.

I'd say middle parting with a fringe but not a straight fringe, like this ..

What about a centre parting but with parted fringe, a fringe that sits on the eyebrows rather than as long as the photo above? I can imagine curtain bangs at the above length would be a nightmare in the eyes all the time!

I don't suit a centre parting without any sort of fringe as my face is asymmetrical, hence the two options I gave

You wear your hair how it suits you face. That’s my advice.

AHairDilemma · 21/07/2023 22:02

Sure, but there are two options for me really and I'd like to look as less dated as possible really. If it matters, i'm in my mid thirties.

Sounds good, imo.

All the kids here have actual full on mullets.

so I suggest not looking to the youth for hair inspiration and going for whichever you prefer

I'd ask the hairdresser but I think side fringy things are out. Possibly due a revival when 00s are back in fashion.
