Help me find a jacket to go with this dress....

Hey style gurus
A friend will be mother of the bride in September and she's got herself a lovely shift dress from Hobbs. The matching jacket was sold out and she's struggling to find anything suitable as a cover-up. She's brunette and buys clothes in petite sizes. Any ideas?

How tall is she? And what clothing size? Also, how much does she want to spend? Formal, less so? Mostly inside or middle of a field?

Would a pashmina not be enough?

Could be worn with a brooch so that it drapes but stays in place.

Possibly not what you had in mind but this could be a lovely contrast. Left open, with similar colour accessories. Looks delicate and elegant - and available in small sizes.
