Have fallen completely in love with it...but its £160!!!

Want to know if its worth it...

Please justify it to me

used2bthin · 25/02/2008 21:48

I haven't but I think you should do it!

used2bthin · 25/02/2008 21:49

Or the Julia

mumzyof2 · 25/02/2008 21:49

Any pics of one?

PussinJimmyChoos · 25/02/2008 21:51

Am crap at linking but go to the website Babes with Babies and its on there - along with a host of other divine ones! You will drool I promise you!

Thin - can I justify this cost??? I mean as you said, I do work..DH has a load of gadgets and he doesn't dither about cost....

As for the sofa..are you really disliking the red so much? Hope you are not voicing any of this to your dad!!! pmsl....

used2bthin · 25/02/2008 21:57

Yeah you can justify it, it'll last years and you could have ended up buying and replacing five cheaper ones by then(justification enough? Please tell me, I have more) Am not mentioning it to my Dad (!) but the sofa and chair just don't look right somehow in the room. Its the blinds I have decided, they look officey and the sofas are too bright for them too. Oh dear I could get covers but its the whole shape of them they are comfey looking the room is modern iyswim. I am mad I know. And very hard to please.

PussinJimmyChoos · 25/02/2008 22:00

I do see what your point about how the decor is more minimalist and the sofas are more cosy/comfy but that doesn't mean it doesn't look good - it does!! You have to think about comfort as well - you cant lounge around in some of these modern style sofas - far too stiff!

What are the blinds like? Text me a pic! lol! Can you get curtains instead or would the landlord not like that?

OP posts:
used2bthin · 25/02/2008 22:02

Can't get curtains as there are no rails. Will text a pic. They are kind of light brown, v officey. They are in the two bedrooms too!

unreasonable · 25/02/2008 22:04

I have to say, I think it's ridiculously overpriced for what it is.
can't you just buy a regular handbag and use it as a changing bag?
it isn't overly big either- you want to see it in the flesh and make sure you can get everything you'll need in it.

if you love it, and you can afford it then go for it. but do make sure it does everything you need it to- otherwise you'll have to buy another one lol

PussinJimmyChoos · 25/02/2008 22:05

Hmmm...I'm sort of imagining that....would the landlord let you put rails up? As long as he pre agreed your choice etc - no harm in asking? You can get some very contemporary rails these days!

That would then 'warm' up the living room somewhat and the sofas would be more in keeping with that....

Or you could always move again...

PussinJimmyChoos · 25/02/2008 22:08

Unreasonable...but Angelina Jolie has one!!! lol!! Apparently the Elizabeth does hold a lap top...maybe I need to get my tape measure out to give me an idea of the actual size..

Why am I such a farking snob? Its because I wear hejab - I want bling accessories so people think oooh she's wedged...

OP posts:
used2bthin · 25/02/2008 22:09

Ha ha! No I don't think he'd let me put rails up as he didnt seem keen about putting something in the ceiling so I could hang a mobile for DD. Maybe I should get covers for the sofa. Let me know next time you're in ikea I'll get you to check something for me if thats ok. So back to the bags...?

PussinJimmyChoos · 25/02/2008 22:15

I like talking sofas!! What do you want me to look at in IKEA?

Back to the bags....I need to get a tape measure to get an idea of sizes really....the julia looks smaller than the Elizabeth doesn't it?

I just want something stylish for when go to Syria and take DS out to people's houses....I also want designer sunglasses and a bling watch

Am shallow bitch!

Ooh - btw, skank rug has now been shampooed! DD will not be contaminated by a years worth of marmalade when she visits!! lol!!

OP posts:
used2bthin · 25/02/2008 22:20

Just one of the fabrics for the sofa covers, need to check if they are blue and white or blue and cream.Yes it does look a bit smaller hard to tell though. My bag is huge but I still end up shoving stuff on the buggy half the time as run out of space. Hate the way I have to open the whole thing to get to stuff too. No way can I ever buy another though. Until I meet you know who then I'll buy a bag for every day of the week...

PussinJimmyChoos · 25/02/2008 22:21

We can go when you visit if you want? Its only 15mins walk from me and DS and DD will love the play area - don't forget reins this time

OP posts:
used2bthin · 25/02/2008 22:27

Oh yes lets do that! My dad had also offered to go there and get me my bookcase if I don't have their rather lovely cabinet instead. DD loves ikea. Will bring the reins! Btw either thurs or fri of that week is ok for us so which do you prefer?

PussinJimmyChoos · 25/02/2008 22:29

Hmmm..probably Friday because that gives me time to clean on the Thurs...I can't clean Mon-Wed due to being at work and by Wed eve the house is a pit! I know you are coming to see me and DS and not the house but you know how I am...!!

Also.....shall I make.... a chocolate cake????

OP posts:
used2bthin · 25/02/2008 22:33

Yeeees! Fri is fine that decides it. But really don't start stressing over housework I won't notice as will be too busy looking at your lovely DS(who it seems mad that it will be the first time I've met him as I know him so well iyswim!)

PussinJimmyChoos · 25/02/2008 22:39

I was pmsl at him tonight as he's twigged that if he stands up and leans forward in his grobag, he can un pop the poppers - he reminded me of the incredible hulk when he's bursting out of his shirt so I started to pmsl, he giggled even more that I found it funny and DH was all 'oh now he's going to keep doing it'

Am all excited now! We can go to M/care too and try to find teeny slippers for DD if you want? And maybe..Pizza Hut...oh god, lets starve ourselves until we meet shall we???

Fark - have you seen the time???

OP posts:
PussinJimmyChoos · 26/02/2008 21:53

Back to my original question..

Anyone got this bag??

Pleaseeeeeee!!!

OP posts:
used2bthin · 26/02/2008 22:04

Just seen your message last night sorry! Yes yes yes at pizza! Was going to ask about the bag thing. But what about the julia one?

PussinJimmyChoos · 26/02/2008 22:09

How big is the Julia one??

'ang on -

OP posts:
used2bthin · 26/02/2008 22:12

What was the verdict?

PussinJimmyChoos · 26/02/2008 22:14

Right, they are both the same height - 28cm, the Elizabeth is 45cm wide but the Julie is 43 BUT the dept of Elizabeth is 11 cm but Julie is 14cm...now I'm thinking which is better? More depth or ahem width??

OP posts:
used2bthin · 26/02/2008 22:16

Ooh difficult question, whole new thread! Its not much difference though really I'd just go with the one you like most. Which is?

PussinJimmyChoos · 26/02/2008 22:28

Well I'm leaning towards the Julie one now but it just looks too small...also, what colour is best? I tend to wear a lot of tan stuff - tan boots, tan heels so that's why I was drawn to the Elizabeth to start with...

Oooh go to www.storksak.co.uk and that shows the internal components - they don't vary much do they??
