If you're curvy and looking for swimwear shops - online - Warning.

If you're on the curvy side of things (like I am myself) buying swimwear often means that online shops are the only way to go as retailers tend not to stock larger sizes on their rails in store.

I'm writing to warn you off buying from a particular online store (that may appear in your reels or feeds online based on the almighty 'algorithm').

That online store is this one:
https://www.curvyshe.co.uk/

This is not to be confused with a lingerie online shop with a very similar name.

If items don't fit and you want to return them (which as a consumer, is your right to do so) it's a nightmare.

I have no idea, nor do I want to at this point, where their primary office which I would expect the goods to be dispatched from and returned to. Apparently, the only place to return to is in the USA even though the site has a '.co.uk' qualifier on it.

I'm not sure how you would find out where a company operates out of and where their distribution centres and returns locations are but I would recommend that if you absolutely must buy your swimwear online, to stay well away from the above site/business when doing it.

Just a bit of a consumer advice.

How did you fall for this scam site?

Prices in 🇬🇧 GBP and calculated from 🇺🇲 USD, abiding by the laws of France, no company number, no names, no physical address and only an email to write to

Good luck, maybe check out whether you used a credit card, but I'm thinking you've learned an expensive lesson

At the time, I had no idea it was a scam site. I've seen many sites, that list prices in £, $ and € on their sites.

It looks to me like Shein or similar cheap clothing websites. It's one though that kept coming up on my Facebook feed and reels and I think I've seen it recommended on MN before which is why I went ahead and ordered items from it.

I'm warning others though to stay well away. If my experience has been a learning lesson, I hope it helps others.

I've bought some swimwear from Temu. It's been surprising how good it is. They go up to size 24. Less than a tenner. Not a scam site. Although if you buy the swimsuit that has a matching sarong the sarong is a little small.

Was that really necessary?

The first site below looks like a copycat of the dodgy site the OP is referring to.

The second site looks like a genuine UK site.
