So I LOVE buying clothes and shoes but have a traditionally very smart wardrobe thanks to my job in finance. Very girly- lots if midi/floral dresses and heels. I get lots of comments on how smart/put together I look and have a lot of fun putting outfits together.
However, when I go casual I never seem to do as good a job, is it just because I am used to feeling “put together”?! Or because I feel like I am not doing such a good job putting outfits together! I have a large collection of SweatyBetty leggings and sweaters that I use for REALLY casual and will be wearing for the “active” parts of our holiday, however I want some “in between” outfits for the city/town days (Montreal/Quebec and some seaside towns). So far I’ve gone for a couple of pairs of cropped “Mom” jeans and a variety of T shirts to tuck in and thinking of buying a one of those longer line shacket/denim jacket type things but I’m stuck on shoes! Have also got the SB Quin cargos and love them- will wear with black fitted T.
I like the look of Veja’s but are they actually comfortable for 20k plus steps walking round a city? Same for Birkenstocks! If so, which ones- the website is baffling me! Have a pair of pink Converse that I love and will wear but aren’t great for a long long walk. I LOVE white Supergas but haven’t bought as think I’d have the same problem! I’m a sucker for what looks good but actually need something that’s practical!
Also I need probably an actual trainer that could go with everything from the leggings to the jeans/khakis.
If I sounds like a brand snob, I’m not- I’d happily accept something in the style of the above if you can vouch for increased comfort/better value!
