What jacket would you wear with this dress?

I need a cover up for this dress which needs to take me from a church service to a dressy wedding reception. I’m thinking probably a boxy jacket but I might be completely on the wrong track with it. Struggling…

I would go for something in THIS STYLE but I think you need to be very careful about the colour and material. Nothing too dark or heavy

Meant to add: a shrug, but with a strategically placed brooch (or an added press stud) to close it up for the church service, if modesty requires!

You’ve just made me almost spill my pina colada! I’m currently sat around the pool on holiday wearing that very nancymac green floral shrug over my bikini. I’ve had it donkeys years and paid about £30 for it. I’ve just made Ds2 take it back to the room now I know it’s £220!
