Wide leg cropped trousers - what shoes?

My DSis has given me a pair of black Zara wide legged cropped trousers. These seem the perfect mix and smart and comfortable for work but I really can't decide what shoes look best. I'm not that keen on heels as I have to walk but flat shoes just make me look short and that maybe the trousers are not cropped full length but too short IFSWIM. Would a pointed flat or sling back work? TIA

I wear white trainers with mine or my black Birkenstock Arizona sandals.

That's both for these suggestions, unfortunately trainers or Birkenstocks would be a no for work. I think they look perfectly smart personally but they are just not they done thing where I am.

I wear loafers with mine. Will loafers work?

Definitely not anything with a heel, I personally think they look really odd with wide leg trousers

Yes I'm think loafers or a pointed flat maybe - just have the fine the right ones now.
