Is there a cleanser exactly the same as Beauty Pie Japanfusion

Myjobisanightmare · 16/07/2023 09:21

I can’t be arsed with the whole membership bollocks but the cleanser is perfect for me

I use Tretinoin so want a simple not really fragranced balm to milk type cleanser

I have a greasy t zone and Japanfusion cleans all my spf and make up off and leaves neither stripped or left with a slight moisture residue it just leaves my face clean

it’s not strongly fragranced it doesn’t sting or fog up my eyes

Cleansers I’ve tried and not got on with

Beautypie Jeju

Inkey Oat Cleansing
Ordinary Squalane
LRP Toleraine

All too moisturising for my Tzone leave residue cause spotty chin etc

Watching with interest. I found beauty pie a rip off, but I really miss that cleanser. Haven't found anything like it yet.

Welshgal85 · 16/07/2023 09:29

Have you tried the body shop camomile balm? It is slightly fragranced but it made for sensitive skins. It’s really good and removes every scrap of make up and spf. They also have a few different gel cleansers in different ranges that may be good?

I really like the Dr Dennis Gross Alpha Beta AHA/BHA Daily Cleansing Gel too.

Otherise perhaps downloading the Skin Rocks App? It’s free and gives you product recommendations based on your skin type.

Mutabiliss · 16/07/2023 09:32

Posting in hope. I'm still a member, but only really for that cleanser and the body scrub (which I buy maybe once or twice a year).

I'll probably leave soon and just give up on Japanfusion as I don't feel the quality is as good as it used to be and the price is increasing far too much, but I will really miss it.

Myjobisanightmare · 16/07/2023 09:35

Off to find and try Skin Rocks app

i have the skin and me cleanser - it takes off all the spf etc and leaves my skin feeling clean

i like the moisturiser too, but i have stopped buying as you have to buy them together and i need more moisturiser than cleanser and i have got a whole cleaner spare and have run out of moisturiser.

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 16/07/2023 09:40

The Body Shop camomile cleanser is indeed excellent.

Now if I could just find a non-beauty pie equivalent to their tinted SPF...

Myjobisanightmare · 16/07/2023 10:00

Forgot to add Clinique take the day off balm and Simple cleansing oil they’re both a bit stripping compared to Japanfusion for me but I prefer that to the waterproof coating/residue

looked at Skin Rocks briefly search results for my skin type brought up a lot of gels/micellars but I want a balm I did suggest a Paula’s Choice balm that sounded great but three times the cost of Japanfusion so pointless

I’ll buy the body shop one this week really it’s mad I’ve never had it it’s always recommended

Boots do a squalane one which I feel it's a bit less moisturising than the Ordinary one, it is pretty similar though.

But different but have you tried the Sam Bunting flawless cleanser? You'd have to use as part of two step cleansing but v c gentle and leaves skin v soft

BlueBlueBerries · 16/07/2023 10:06

Ren Jelly Oil cleanser is lovely. Gentle on a skin and removes all makeup easily

Jubaju · 16/07/2023 10:11

Beautypie have a free 30 access at the moment- stock up and cancel before it renews?

Mercurial123 · 16/07/2023 10:12

BP sent an email out last week that prices on certain products will be increasing. With the annual membership fee, it's really not worth it for me and have cancelled. I really like Byoma milky oil cleanser.

Myjobisanightmare · 16/07/2023 10:18

Didn’t know about the Boots one will check it out plus the Ren and Byoma, that’s 4 possibles with the Body Shop just wish I had a crystal ball would be best for me

I haven’t used that exact cleanser but I have this and it is nice, I often use it for make up removal. I think we probably have different skin needs though as I use this as a first cleanse (well, after eye make up remover) then use a clarifying face wash after.

I used to use Lancôme Baumé Eclat years ago but think it’s been discontinued.

Yes another vote for this one.

Cigarettesandbooze · 16/07/2023 10:28

Total rip-off these days. I was a member from the start but it’s gone ridiculously overpriced now. Not worth it.

Bovrilla · 16/07/2023 10:33

Byoma made my eyes sting

Glossier milk jelly cleanser is fabulous. Love it and always end up going back to it.

Smells very faintly of roses. Gentle and leaves skin soft and not tight.

Myjobisanightmare · 16/07/2023 10:35

What do they put in that makes our eyes sting I get that too!

Bovrilla · 16/07/2023 10:36

Glossier doesn't, it's magic!

SiobahnRoy · 16/07/2023 10:38

They’re giving a months free membership at the moment so I’ve just stocked up on my favourites, this cleanser being one of them.

Fraaahnces · 16/07/2023 11:05

I have been using cleansing balms for more than 20 years. I usually use KBeauty ones, but have also used Glow Recipe (awesome, but far too expensive for what it is) and Neutrogena (might meet your requirements, but it’s a bit boring in comparison to others.) I have added photos down below of some of my favourites. I can highly recommend the Curel Makeup Melting Balm (Boots or Superdrug I think) and the Superdrug Vitamin E one too.

You can also buy from people with membership through the Facebook group, beauty pie buy and swaps.

stardust777 · 16/07/2023 16:52

I have combination skin and am using bioderma micellar water for a first cleanse, followed by Vanicream gentle cleanser (no frills, but good for sensitive skin) - I'm happy with the results. I also really like Cerave hydrating cleanser.

To keep blackheads at bay, I've been using Face Theory saliatica and Indeed Labs Retinol reface.

Gracewithoutend · 16/07/2023 17:34

I've heard at lot of positive things about Heimish All Clean Balm. Its on my lidt to buy from Stylevana.

Cyclingmummy1 · 16/07/2023 18:13

I discovered by accident that a colleague is still a member - she shares with her sister and says it's worth it with four teenagers between them - so that might be worth checking out?

I've got an Espa balm at the moment which is gorgeous but more like plantastic than japanfusion.

Cyclingmummy1 · 16/07/2023 18:14

I meant that you might have a similar colleague. Not sure it reads like that.
