Work have boxes for the women's World Cup, it's completely fallen off my radar and I need two (possibly three) It will be cold, I'll need to be pretty on point as we are hosting clients and would like to be patriotic but not dressed head to toe in a St George's cross as I'll be amongst lots of other nationalities.
Any ideas?
Have ordered a supporters scarf but that's as far as I've got.
Would love a red blazer if I can find one !

Off to dust off my St George's costume then ... it would seem 🤣

@Hop27 M&S have trouser suits inspired by the England women’s’ team. A bit Gareth Southgate for women! Not sure why the women have to copy the men! However it’s a start.

If you are hosting, a trouser suit is a good idea though . A box won’t be cold! Take a coat for outside. So I would look at block colours. Pastels can look great. I do think navy looks classy but it’s the England women manager’s uniform. So I would look at greens or combinations of colours such as at Max Mara . Me&Em are great too. You could look at Reiss or The Fold. Perfect clothes available for what you need.

Oh - and a blonde ponytail is a must! Hope Aus is great.

I'm assuming you're in Aus so hopefully there is a good winter range in the shops now.

Red blazer is a great shout. You could wear with a fine knit merino/ or cashmere mix in white. Navy wide-legged trousers.

Or reverse - red slacks, navy blazer.

Also look for fine-knit jumper dresses in navy/white/red.

I got a red blazer from Jigsaw recently, which I'm quite pleased with, although I haven't worn it yet.

Red blazer = Virgin airways. Why would this be good? Ted, white and blue is not obligatory.

TizerorFizz · 17/07/2023 14:24

Red! Not Ted.

I was frozen the last time I was in a box ! But I did have bare legs, so probably my fault. Thinking of maybe neutrals and red.
Failing any option I have a lovely trench which I could wear open with a fine knit in some sort of pant, don't want to wear jeans.

@Hop27 I agree not jeans. The big look here last winter was winter whites and camels with an unlined camel wrap coat. Or shades of grey. Fairly chunky chain necklace or layers of small chains. I go to football a lot and I’m a big one for checking the forecast and I’m never in a box. You are protected in a box. Def do trousers. Don’t quite get the red jacket.

TizerorFizz · 17/07/2023 23:18

@Hop27 These are all a/w 23 trends from Vogue. Neutrals still in (not leggings!) and greys. Coats - black. Shirts and trousers: neutrals and white and black. It’s all fairly easy.

Thanks for the links, probably a bit too business like for a weekend event. But like the colour palate!
