Good morning all.
I am going to a wedding soon, and would like to buy a new dress.
I'm not after advice about any particular dress, but where to look.
I haven't been to either of the above places for several years, so I'm out of touch.
For any of you familiar with either/both, can you suggest any particular shops I should check out? I'm after a maxi dress, preferably £100 or less.
I used to love Debenhams in The Coliseum, but it closed down.
Thanks everyone x

Debenhams is available online. I wouldnt go there especially tbh

FeelingwearyFeeelingsmall · 13/07/2023 11:45

If there is still a Phase 8 outlet at Cheshire Oaks they do lovely occasion wear.

LetMeGoogleThat · 13/07/2023 11:47

Make a day of it and have a mooch, plan lunch it's all doable in a day.....preferably mid week if you can.

Rayna37 · 13/07/2023 11:54

There's a huge M&S there (near the Coliseum, not the Cheshire Oaks outlet) would be ideal, they have other brands in the store too like Hobbs. You could browse the dresses online in advance.

@3BSHKATS @LetMeGoogleThat @Rayna37
Thank you so much for your replies. And @FeelingwearyFeeelingsmall - I love Phase 8! Any more suggestions from anyone would be very much appreciated.
I should have mentioned that I do shop online for many things, but when it comes to dresses and other clothing items, I much prefer to shop in "bricks and mortar" stores.

You just need to walk around and see what shops they have surely? Pretty sure there is a list on the website too.

LindyLou2020 · 13/07/2023 14:14

@NotTheOtherMother
Yes, of course I can just go and walk around and explore what's there.
And yes, I can look online to find out what shops are there.
I was asking if people could suggest/recommend any shops in particular, so I could head to those first.
But thanks anyway.

There's a Ted Baker at Cheshire Oaks. Might be worth a look.

LadyLolaRuben · 13/07/2023 15:06

I wouldn't bank on a special occasion outfit from CO due to it being a discount retail outlet. They don't always have full size range etc. I'd try Trafford centre and Liverpool One

Punsandroses · 13/07/2023 15:16

I love a good day out at Chesire Oaks and a mooch around.
I got a lovely dress for a wedding from Jigsaw, also worth a look, Coast, French Connection, Mint Velvet and not forgetting the M & S oulet.....then of course you'll need shoes 😀 a couple of years back I got a pair from Kurt Gieger that should have been £££££ for £30, so many bargains there then you get on-line.
Also before you go worth signing up for the club card, that'll maybe give some extra %'s of some shops.
Have fun....I'm jealous

LindyLou2020 · 13/07/2023 18:32

Ah, thanks everyone! x

I love French connection at Cheshire oaks for dresses. They often have beautiful ones at the back of the shop which are an absolute bargain. There's a Monsoon there too if that's your thing.

Pattygonia · 15/07/2023 06:32

I’ve got a couple of lovely dresses from the Ralph Lauren at Cheshire Oaks. It’s a much bigger store there now than it used to be.

Happy shopping! 😀

FeelingwearyFeeelingsmall · 20/07/2023 16:44

Let us know how you get on @LindyLou2020

Luhou · 20/07/2023 17:23

Ted baker, phase eight, and the huge M&S are probably your best options. I wouldn't expect much from the collesium side (apart from marks).

Ooh, thanks for the new posts.
I've got lots of suggestions now, so thank you to all of you x
