Am coming up to needing a new one. I've tried Charlotte Tilbury, a couple of Loreals, the Victoria Beckham pencils (which I like but which don't give a sharp enough lines). Just haven't found one I love.

I'd like a properly black black, a nib that can make a sharp line and no smudging. Happy to pay up to c.£20. Any recommendations gratefully received!

Benefit Roller Liner

The Make Up By Mario one is amazing. Doesn't budge at all. It's £26 but usually on offer somewhere.

Soap and Glory's Supercat.

I can't get past the kat von d tattoo liner. The tip is very sharp can do a really fine line with it and it lasts all day without setting spray. I think she sold her brand recently so not sure if it's under a new name or not now but its very very good.

Second for KVD Beauty (new name for her brand!)

Another vote for the kat von d one.

I have tried almost all of them - used to work for luxury brands including Clinique and Chanel and honestly the best one I’ve ever used and still re buy now is the Collection (2000) one which is about £3. Just brilliant.

Soap and glory supercar, and lasts for ages

I love the Nyx epic though it’s a brush but I think you can get better precision with it

I agree. I also have this in the brown and purple shades. Great for tightlining also

KVD every time, easy to apply and doesn’t smudge or wear off quickly.

NYC is good. It is waterproof and It doesn't budge. Kat Von d I was less than impressed with. Soap and glory supercat is very average. Others are much of muchness. Some of the best ones I have had have been ones for a couple of pounds from china. They stay really well and stay all day. As a goth I have tried so many to do all the different flicks, patterns etc.

fantasmasgoria1 · 09/07/2023 23:01

Not NYC silly autocorrect it's meant to say NYX!

Thisisthedawningoftheageofaquarius · 09/07/2023 23:04

second collection 2000 - have ink liner in brown and black and love them - way better than more expensive brands I’ve tried (CT - Lancôme - channel) for this item

harriethoyle · 10/07/2023 08:26

Thanks all.. I'll look for the Kat von D one but also pick up a collection 2000 at that price! Much appreciated 😊
