Could this be a BCC skin cancer? Any help?!

I’ll attach image… recently had BCC removed from side of nose area, overly paranoid now at everything I see… could someone help?
just so you know I have a doc appt coming up but any advice I’d highly appreciate.
noticed this patch of skin more so in my pores on my nose. Possibly bcc? Or? Ignore red part as I had been at it myself.
thanks in advance !

It's really hard to tell. I feel your pain though - I've had three BCCs removed over the last ten years, and all three looked totally different from one another. I've got something else that I need to get looked at, that looks different again but I just have a 'feeling' about it.
After my first one, I was super-paranoid about every dot and blemish on my skin, and it took a while to get a better perspective on it. Having one BCC means it's likely we'll get more - all we can do is be vigilant and get any changes checked out, as you are doing. Wish you all the best Flowers

Oh feel you worry - had bcc removed from face about 16 years ago.

have appointment this Saturday for mole on leg but I have similar two patches just like yours on my nose. They worry me more than by huge new mole on my leg!

guess just the medics look and judge. get it checked out.

Healthfreak95 · 05/07/2023 23:19

Thanks so much for both of your replies!

tbh I’m not sure how I didn’t notice the patch before. Mine is not risen, is yours?
aw it’s just the worst honestly every tiny blemish now In my head is a worry! @howrudeforme are you going to get those patches checked out?
and have you had any BCC since the first removal?
my first was pretty obvious once I learned what a Bcc looked like. This is just a patch of skin and I’m overly paranoid also! Were yours on your face also @joyofteatime . Xx

my first was a mole on my face -obvious to me as ever changing and crusty.

got pregnant then saw gp about it as needed to be grown up. They didn’t take it seriously at first and neither did hospital (age/black hair/ olive skin/dark eyes) but was taken off and it was BCC. Had one other biopsy and it wasn’t. My current mole is very different from last mole but in six years very big. Back of leg. But at appointment I want them to look at nose.

mole o leg risen but patch on nose just red and not risen.

insist on referral!

I suggest going to your GP and not be fobbed off by it should be OK type response. I have known people who have been told that incorrectly. As the previous poster says, insist on being referred.

hope you’ve made that appointment op.

I went to hospital and doc was incredibly dismissive and said it was nothing and the result of an old insect bite. I told her about my last one 16 years ago and then she decided it was an issue and I’ll have a biopsy shortly. Honestly from insect bite thing to something that needs to be taken off!!!!!!

she did say she wondered why I was there as im too dark/too young etc.

Do not be fobbed off OP. You are worried so get it seen to!

HairMb · 09/07/2023 18:34

Get it checked out, especially with a history of bcc. All the best op.
