Where do you get nice but not "sexy" underwear?

I'd like something decent quality, that fits well and doesn't show under clothes. Matching sets or toning colours, not black. Stylish or pretty rather than someone else's idea of sexy....and comfortable!

Does it exist?

Asda’s george has some very pretty sets last time I was in there

CouldIHaveThatInEnglishPlease · 02/07/2023 22:40

bravissimo for me.

Branleuse · 02/07/2023 23:35

Bravissimo or sometimes tkmaxx or m&s ( dont get measured by them obv)

oranga · 03/07/2023 07:33

I have bought a few nice sets from lemonade dolls recently- very comfortable for a fuller bust.

Theos · 03/07/2023 07:36

I can’t see how lemonade thing supports

I also would like to know where to find good quality sets to wear under clothes. Preferably in non-synthetic fabric. I found that I much prefer cotton briefs or shorts rather than lace, satin or silk for day-to-day wear.

bonfirebash · 03/07/2023 08:00

I wear Elomi a lot, they do some lovely sets

Theos · 03/07/2023 09:21

I always feel a bit like I’m in a bikini in a set

Darklane · 03/07/2023 10:56

I second the Asda George suggested above. Better than you’d expect & comfortable & very reasonably priced. I’ve had expensive things not nearly as good.

rbe78 · 03/07/2023 10:59

I always went to M&S until I went above a DD - their larger cup selection is woeful.

Now I use Bravssimo for my day-to-day undies. Gossard Superboost Lace is my go-to - I have a set in pretty much every colour!

@oranga
Do the Lemonade sets support a large bust? They look beautiful, but really flimsy and I really don’t want to pay out only to find myself with a waist low uni boob.

CrotchetyQuaver · 10/07/2023 14:41

Had to have a bra rethink after menopausal boob explosions.
Became a fan of Fantasie stuff as it's a good fit on me. Not cheap, but it's lasting amazingly well. Some of the sets are over 5 years old now and I wash them with my clothes at 40 in the machine, just air dry them. They still look great, no greying or discolouration. They've turned out to be well worth the initial cost, I was always a fan of M&S stuff until them but no longer.

I always buy my underwear from proper underwear shops - the kind of shop you find in small towns. The women who work in them really understand underwear and are brilliant at helping you find the right size and shape for your body. They have all kinds of brands, styles and price ranges. I used to shop in M&S but can't believe the rubbish quality or how hard it is to get the right size and matching knickers and bras.

cactidream · 10/07/2023 16:52

Bravissimo and Freya bras

BatshitCrazyWoman · 10/07/2023 16:56

Freya for me.

Xrays · 10/07/2023 17:07

Bravissimo for Fantasie bras and then M and S for their shorts / midi cotton knickers. Asda for a cheaper close second for the knickers.

Megjobethamy · 10/07/2023 21:05

Fantasie for me too... It's all I wear since I got properly fitted last year!

bellsbuss · 10/07/2023 22:02

I like Boux Avenue as their bras fit nicely and their sets are lovely
