To chop or not to chop-hair issues

Evening all,

Recently got a haircut which I’m not happy with. No issues with the hairdresser. We had a misunderstanding which was entirely my fault & she put layers in the back of my hair which I didn’t actually want.

I really don’t like it. I hadn’t twigged while she was doing it & it doesn’t look great. Not upset with the hairdresser. As I said it’s my fault & hair grows-it’s not a big deal. Just wondering what to do in the meantime. Do I;

a) get it cut shorter so it’s all one length? I have enough length left for a bob.

b) let it grow out first then get it all cut the same length in a few months.

Normally I’d just go for option A but I have concerns;

a) my hair needs a bit of length to weigh it down or it doesn’t hold any kind of style. Looks ok when you’ve straightened it, but the minute a bit of wind gets to it, you’d think I’d been dragged through a hedge backwards. This is why the layers look crap. I have half a head of frizzy, flyaway hair.

b) my hair grows slowly & I'm getting married next year. I guess if it’s not at a suitable length I could always get the bob put back in even though it wouldn’t be my preference.

So what would you do? Cut it & hope for the best? Or live with it for now and hope the layers grow out quickly?

I'd grow it, so your hair will be more versatile next year, besides when you have it styled on the day, I'm sure it will look lovely

I’m not sure I can live with it that long 🙈

I could of written this post myself after a hair cut on Thursday. I’ve ended up with loads of layers and a choppy look. I don’t have enough length for another cut, as some layers are too short. But in your shoes I’d grow it and see.

Sometimes I find hair a few weeks after looks better than the initial cut. If you can put your hair up that might help disguise the layers.

Thanks for the advice.

I’ll give it a few weeks & see how I feel then.
