White socks with black trainers. Teen boy.

So my DS has asked for some help. He has never been bothered about his appearance, but he is now starting to consider it a little more important!
He is quirky and nerdy, and happy to be so, but also wants to fit in and 'grow up a bit' (his words).
So we started with trainers, he has now has Nike airforce in plain black and plain white. All the cool kids seem to be wearing those sports/crew socks. Does he need black ones for the black airforce, or can he wear white with both pairs?

It’s white - neither of my boys wear them - we live in the countryside so would be pretty daft and wouldn’t last five minutes - wouldn’t teach anyone to be a slave to fashion .. one of mine is nerdy and has plenty of friends without having the right haircut or socks

White socks are a thing for my 14 year old ds.

Sam here for DS16. No other colour will do.

Yes white Nike crew socks with everything here too. Even with sliders! The Airforce are very on trend and you can't go wrong with them.
The white trainers may not look clean for long though so be prepared for that and they crease quickly so maybe save those ones for 'best' a little bit. The Nike socks get holes in really quickly I find. My DS has plain Asda crew socks too that he is happy to wear.
