Chic black sandals I can walk around all day in?

Any ideas, please?

My feet are slightly wide (though not wide enough for a wide fit) and I’m not particularly keen on ankle straps (could be swayed). Currently wearing Birkenstocks but I’d really like something a bit smarter, and leather. I have so many pairs of sandals but I usually only wear them a couple of times because they destroy my feet!

Salt water sandals are great. Many styles have ankle straps though

I love my Wolky Rio. They are expensive and do need some wearing in to soften the leather, but they are adjustable, super comfy and there are lots of colour options. I tend to wear them in the house for a while to soften them before wearing outside. I've had multiple pairs over the years in different colours and patterns.

Thanks, I’ve had them in the past and did find them comfortable, but I’m looking for something a bit more stylish!

I have small (size 3) but wide feet and also don’t like ankle straps (short legs).

Firstly decide whether you want completely flat sandals, flat form or low wedge then search for those.
I can’t wear completely flat shoes but get on well with Fitflops (the leather ones with a back strap) or Geox (similar sole and back strap to the Fitflops).

Both usually come in leather and black (I don’t wear black sandals but seem to see load’s around!)

I will check them out. Thanks!

Just for info, they come up a bit small. I am usually 38 but sometimes 39, but am 39 in these.

Air and Grace sandals are really comfortable

Following with interest as I'm in the same boat.
Recently got some Hush Pullies Ellie hoping they'd be a dupe for some 2010-ish Clarks ones that I wore to bits. Sadly they were nowhere near as flattering or comfy + the loudest shoes ever...
I think the ankle strap thickness & placement is really key, ie not too low, not too high, not too thick, not too thin.
Just ordered some New Look ones that came in black, white and beige/pink, had great reviews, but with a gold bead type trim I'm not sure about and obvs New Look price + quality. Will report back when they arrive.

Check out TKMaxx. I just got some lovely soft black Spanish leather wedge sandals…so comfortable, and only £15.

They are all so frumpy and boring though.

I think Sketchers wedges are incredibly comfortable and flattering.

EffortlessDesmond · 30/06/2023 17:17

Clarks provided my last/current pair a few years ago, but they normally do something similar most summers.

Air and Grace sandals are really comfortable

Has anyone tried Air and Grace's Disco Diva sandals? I'm tempted as I need something comfy for a wedding but I'm always suspicious of their 5 star reviews as posters have said on MN before that Air and Grace seem to delete any less than flattering reviews.
