Does anyone have these? Wondering whether they're comfortable or if I should just go for the proper Birkenstocks.

I got some cheap new look ones a few years ago and they look lovely but are so uncomfortable.

They'll probably be fine for a season. If you want something that's going to carry you through a few years, get the real thing. Cheap fashion sandals don't tend to be made for comfort so much as looks. If you get a pair that happen to be comfortable as well then great.

Ive got the M&S ones which were super cheap at 20 - i got a discount. they are really comfy, and at that price i'm not too bothered if they dont last for years.

BridportSpectacular · 29/06/2023 10:39

I got birkenstocks as I find the footbed really comfortable. But I've also got some cheapy M&S ones from a couple of years ago that I wore to death. Gutted they don't do them anymore.

Wallabyone · 29/06/2023 10:41

I tried on those in the silver and I'm going back to get them. At £28, they're brilliant, and the footbed is very comfortable (I have Birkenstocks too, and take the point that these probably won't last as long, but even 2/3 years is fine for the price).

FancyNancyShoes · 29/06/2023 11:49

If your just wanting fashion shoes they are fine but will not be as good as Birkenstocks or last as long.

Beamur · 29/06/2023 12:25

I got something similar but a brand called Plakton and if anything they might be more comfortable than my usual Birkenstocks.

KirstenBlest · 29/06/2023 12:33

I've seen those in TK Max. Might get some if they have them

Agree - the M&S ones are much nicer

KirstenBlest · 29/06/2023 15:20

The footbed looks a lot better in the M&S ones. Very tempted to get ones in white.

Floatydressbeachyhair · 29/06/2023 15:51

The M&S ones are lovely but I wanted some in black and they don't seem to do them in black?

I've never got on with Birkenstocks, my go to are Reef.

wineymummy · 29/06/2023 16:37

I am so tight and will always buy the cheap version but having had knock-off Birkies before I will only ever buy real ones now - the imitation ones just don't last as long.

KirstenBlest · 29/06/2023 16:41

@Floatydressbeachyhair , Black Leather Footbed Sandals - TK Maxx UK

dreamingofsun · 29/06/2023 17:33

Ive got the M&S ones in brown and navy. they come up big, so if you are between sizes go down.

Floofydawg · 29/06/2023 17:47

I've got the M&S ones and also real Birkenstocks. Find I wear the m&s ones more as they're more comfortable.

rileynexttime · 29/06/2023 18:06

I have Birkenstocks. They suit my foot , especially now I use the size that their on line measuring system came up with. They don't do a size 6.
The real leather ones are comfier than the synthetic version.
But .. What suits one foot won't suit another.

orangeflags · 29/06/2023 18:30

I have Birkenstocks but the comfiest ones I've ever had were from Hotter

Matildahoney · 29/06/2023 23:31

I tried the next & m&s ones on this week, m&s ones were much wider, next ones had a lovely soft sponge footbed. I send some Birkenstocks back because they were so hard!
