When/where do you wear a shorts suit

A quick disclaimer: I'm not talking about winter wool shorts suits here that you can pair with thick tights and be all warm and toasty. Likewise not talking about the suits where the shorts are of a "decent" length to be worn to the office.

Asking all stylish ladies for help.
Recently I've seen lots of fun and colourful summer shorts suits online. They look absolutely amazing on the photos and I feel tempted to get one for myself, however I have absolutely no idea when I would need to cover up my arms with a blazer while simultaneously feeling warm enough to wear very short shorts.
I've seen people wear them to vacations while traveling in Greece for example - wouldn't it be too hot to wear a blazer in the blazing heat?
I can imagine someone might want to have a jacket if it gets chilly in the evening/ if they always get cold in the restaurants etc. because of the aircon (unfortunately - or fortunately - where I live the restaurants/ shopping malls set their aircons at 28 degrees as per government's recommendations, so it's not really cold inside the buildings, and it rarely drops below humid +29 at summer nights here).
Maybe someone could wear a shorts suit to a wedding (don't have any weddings/ christenings coming up).
Depending on the pattern and colour, maaaaybe you could wear the suit in spring/ autumn instead, but most models I've seen look exclusively summerish.

What else am I missing? When and where do you wear your shorts suit if you have one?
I'm attaching some pics as an example of what I'm talking about.

Well I think you've answered your own question - it just sounds like where you live doesn't have the climate or conditions for them. I've worn them on holiday in Europe in the evenings when it's a bit cooler. I feel the cold more in my arms so I could wear shorts and a blazer at around 19 degrees maybe? Probably wouldn't wear it to a wedding, I prefer more leg coverage at a wedding.

Thank you for your reply @ALittleBitAlexa ! Makes sense, I guess I just have to accept it's not practical for where I live :(

I love the look of them, esp the bright coloured ones. If I was someone who went on nights out a lot I'd wear them for that, bars, restaurants as they look smart but you have the jacket for cooler eves/air con.
I don't go out much though so I'd not get the use from it sadly.

Funny to see this thread. I was on holiday in a European country recently and saw a wedding. One lots of guests had the usual long dresses and strappy heels but one had a rust coloured shorts suit on and she looked amazing. The colour was perfect for her colouring and the cut was great on her shape, which really helped.

The shorts suit looked more modern and comfortable than the long dresses on some of the other guests (I say that as a not hugely fashion forward 40-something!).

To work, I live in a hot country. Mine are a bit more tailored. Jacket is great for my fridge of an office!
