I have no idea what bra size I am

So it's about 5 years since I wore a proper underwired bra - I was wearing a 40c, (never felt comfortable though) but since then have gained a lot of weight, then lost a bit of weight, and have just been wearing stretchy crop top type bras.

I really want to get a proper bra again, as the crop tops don't really cut it support wise.

I measure 46 under bust, and 52 bust, which looking at some calculators says 46 E. The problem is I tried on some bras this size a while back and the cups were just way way too big, and the Band inexplicably still felt really tight. I am at a bit of a loss to be honest, and wonder if I'm just thr wrong shape for bras and will never find a nice one that fits!

All styles are so different.
I would go get measured properly and try on as many bra's as you can bare with someone who knows what a good fit looks like.

I think they may feel tight because you've not worn a structured one for ages... but shouldn't be that uncomfortable.
