Can I wear these trousers with mid/high wedge sandals?

I have a few pairs of these (black, denim, pale pink) and I live in trainers, occasionally flat clumpy sandals. Would high wedge sandals work? For a going to pub or lunch slightly more made-an-effort-look?

I’d say a high heel with these would look a bit try hard. But I’d also say I don’t know anyone that wears heels of any kind any more - trainers, Birks, ballet flats are ubiquitous in my world

I've seen more heels around lately for dinners out and drinks ect.

I'm not qualified to say if wedges would or would not go with those particular trousers, but if you fancy bunging some heels on once in a while to make yourself feel a bit dressier, do it!

I had a cool swedish colleague who would have done that, it was 20 years ago if that matters, but she looked fab.

I've narrowed down to these so not high in the end. And not sure with those trousers. Will keep thinking.
I love trainers but I'm not slim so I do feel a bit dumpy at times.
Maybe I just need to try different trainers to feel a bit different.
