Can I just grow out gel nails?

I really dont fancy booking and paying for another appointment just to have it removed.

But I've only had gel nails once before, when I was young and clueless and peeled them off and destroyed my beautiful healthy nails for ever 🙁 they've been horrible and brittle since.

Anyway, this time they are on my toes, can I just wait til they grow out (and try very very hard not to peel it off)?

Yes. Try not to peel it.
My beautician just uses an emery board to file off the old gel. Just don't take nail off too.

Yea, toes you can grow out ok. Trying to grow gels out on my hands would drive me nuts though.

You can remove at home with acetone and an emery board, but it is a boring job.

Don’t peel though.

You can but they'll start to look well weird

Yes. I often do this at the end of the summer. It grows off my smaller toes, then I scuff if off the big toe with a nail file.

It will take weeks and weeks and a lot of the time they'll peel off sometimes taking parts of your nail with it!

Lots of nail places often do I walk in service and you should be done in about 25 mins tops. Your nails will thank you for it

Buy a bottle of acetone, soak cotton wool in it, wrap foil around the finger or toe to keep it in place, leave for 10 mins.
It will start coming off nicely
You might want to lightly file the gel with a nail file to allow the acetone to start working quicker.
