Pretty tops with kimono type sleeves?

I have a really lovely top which is cream with some floral design on it with kimono type sleeves which have peach banding on, I dont know where I got it but as Im losing weight its not going to fit me soon. Im still wearing it but its starting to look odd.

I really like the style, just below hip length, with the sleeves coming down mid forearm, my arms look terrible due to a lot of weight loss so I cant wear short sleeves and preferably not tight sleeves.

I dont know the first place to look having not really shopped for normal sized clothes for many years.

When I search for kimono sleeve tops it brings up tops that you do up with a tie, I dont want that, I dont want a shirt/jacket type top.

I always hand wash and press on a cool iron if I need to clean one. They are very delicate but dry quickly. Still look good but never quite as 'perfect' as straight from the shop.
To be honest because they are floaty over your top, they don't really get dirty or smelly. Bit like a light jacket.

Are the sleeves proper sleeves, I notice in the description it says 'split and reveal', I dont want anything revealed.

That is more or less the right shape, but the sleeves are not flared like that one and are longer. In cream.

T K Max had a load of them a few weeks ago as I bought one to use as a cover up with a white dress.

Ah ok got it thanks :)

OP does it have to be exactly the same? Can some of the suggestions here be good enough? Does it have to be cream? Can it not have a collar?

veryfluffyfluff · 26/06/2023 21:29

Have you tried looking at batwing tops?

No it doesnt have to be exactly the same or without a collar, I was just describing it in comparison to the ones suggested.

I would have a cream or light one

However some of the ones at 100 stars have given me food for thought because I notice they are pretty much 1 size, from a size 8 to 22. The current top I have is probably a 24 and Im now an 18. I doubt I will get much smaller than a 14, if so, then I wonder if I would just continue to wear it as is.

I like some of them at 100 stars although the shape of the hems on some arent to my taste and theres another one called Pippa which is a little too short. Its so hard to find that perfect item.
