Disappointed with hairdresser

Hi,

first world problem I know…I saved up a lot of money to have highlights done and I’m really unhappy with the result. Basically I have quite dark hair and my hair is a nightmare to lift which I know. I went to my usual hairdresser who had previously done a set of highlights about 12 weeks ago.
This was the second round - I specifically asked for dark roots (root stretch or smudge not sure what it’s called), anyway she has bleached right up to my scalp round my face and either didn’t use a strong enough bleach, or didn’t leave it on long enough. It’s gone yellow / ginger. I’ve tried to tone it which has helped a little but it makes me look incredibly washed out (and very much a home job). I’m a bit stuck as to what to do now, she knew it hasn’t gone right because she only charged me half price, I don’t want to go back to her to rectify it as I don’t trust her now.
I’ve considered putting a dark on it (aware it needs to have red in it), but the reason I started going blonde was because I’m getting a lot of grey hair now so wanted it to be less obvious.

I have bleached my own hair before but this was many years ago and it was more luck than judgement I didn’t fry it all off so don’t really want to risk a home bleach. Any ideas? Feeling incredibly disappointed.

Not the same colours as you but I had similar recently, asked for a dark magenta with highlights a couple of shades lighter and ended up with a dark plum base and what looked like my daughter had drawn on my head in a neon pink pen for the highlights.
I went back and she just made it dark all over so I used a bleach london semi myself at home in a dark pink which was a gamble but came out perfect and v close to what I originally wanted.

I'm no hairdresser but if you don't want to get ig professionally corrected could you put a semi permanent colour all over and the highlights will pick up a lighter shade?
