Where to get bridal makeup advice?

I'm doing my own makeup for my wedding in a few months time, I've been practicing and just can't seem to get the look I'm going for. I just look the same as I always do.

I wondered if anyone has any recommendations for the best makeup counter to visit for advice? I know that at any counter they basically just want to sell their products, but which will be the most helpful or have the best product range? I was thinking MAC or Charlotte Tilbury.

But I want them to actually say, "X colour does or doesn't works for your skintone/eye colour" etc, not just try to flog me any old makeup!

Appreciate any advice :)

I think the standard at beauty counters can vary wildly. I'd say go in and see if you like how anyone has done their own make up and try and get some time with them. Charlotte Tilbury used to do little eyeshadow quads aimed at making certain eye colours pop which may be helpful.

Charlotte Tilbury. Gold standard for DIY bridal imo
