Why aren’t jeans made for small waist curvy bum?!

Light hearted!

I’m about a size 10 but mainly because of my bum. Everywhere else I’m quite small.

Like many other women really struggle with jeans. What fits my bum gaped at the waist and what fits my waist causes extremely a inappropriate frontal region 🤣.

AIBU to be baffled as to why WOMEN’S jeans aren’t made to fit a (comparatively) small waist versus a curvy bum? Whatever size we are, women generally have those curvy proportions!

I know I could get things tailored…

I love Levi’s and interestingly face less of a problem with their vintage jeans. Maybe our hip to waist ratios have decreased over time…?

Just ranting so please rant with me in solidarity 😄

I am a typical pear shape, and have to buy size 14 jeans and trousers for my damn thighs, then have to have them altered as the waist is huge on me!!!

Next hypercurve were amazing but they discontinued them. I've never seen as many women complaining on social media as I did when that happened!
I'm wearing M&S magic skinny jeans at the minute which aren't quite as perfect but they're good

10 years ago or so Levi’s did their Jean ranges by how curvy you were. I think I had a pair called Demi-curve.

I've always had this problem, although less so as I get older and my waist isn't as small as it was!

Low waisted styles work better if you have comparatively big bum / small waist, as they sit on your hips rather than your waist.
