I have an 8 year old girl who I don't want to kit out in head to toe Boden, or conversely in lots of nylon black and pink swirly dresses with black leggings

Princess Peahead - it might be worth looking at the M&S ones. Both dds are tall and very skinny but they are a reasonable fit once they have a belt on.

emkana · 25/02/2008 20:17

Bink are you sure you mean 152 cm? I would be very surprised at a boy being that tall.

This thread is great for suggestions, didn't even realize New Look did girls stuff.

DualCycloneCod · 25/02/2008 20:20

ds1 is skinny and he fits marks jeans well

PrincessPeaHead · 25/02/2008 20:58

OK will brave marks, thank you

....what shops have good autumn winter gear for this age range?

Slouchy · 28/08/2008 21:15

PPH, have you looked at evrtbaudet? they do slim-fit jeans as well as the 'fat-fit' ones that are becoming the order of the day in UK shops.
