Burberry Check Scarf Yay or Nay for A/W ?

I've read that check scarves /stoles may be a stylish choice this year. I have a lovely cashmere Burberry scarf but I don't wear (apart from indoors) as I think the pattern can be perceived as a bit naff. Probably showing my age a bit. Is it still naff ?

Yep, still not a good look unless you're a Chinese tourist or Daniella Westbrook.

Might just wear hidden under a coat, it's so cosy. Defeats the point but...

Isn't the point to be cosy and it feel soft against your skin?
