What would you wear with pink jeans?

Bought a pair today half-price. I really like them, they're a good fit and a lovely warm raspberry pink colour - I'm just baffled by what to wear with them!

Any ideas?

I’d be tempted to wear a broderie Anglais shirt:blouse or T-shirt with it on with it or a plain white T-shirt or a contrasting T-shirt maybe orange or another colour, my mind is going blank. Zara, Hobbs are the places I saw with that today and M&S but also try Oliver Bonas. You could also team a blazer with it. Can you post a picture of it?

footwear, white trainers or espadrille wedges.

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 20/06/2023 22:06

I have a broderie Anglais T-shirt actually, and a plain white one. I'll try them tomorrow and post photos.

I've also had a look on Pinterest and seem pink jeans with blue denim shirts. I don't have a denim shirt but I do have a blue linen one, might try that. And a black silk shirt, might be worth a go.

I agree about blue. If I had raspberry pink jeans I’d try them with my navy broderie anglaise top. Or go tonal and wear them with a pink shirt or top, but it might be difficult to get the shade right. It’s also worth thinking about contrasting texture as well, eg a leather jacket. You probably need to try them on with everything you own to see what works best. They sound great, if challenging!

Niftythrifter · 21/06/2023 05:37

I would go with broderie anglais too. Personally I have worked out that square like tops don’t really work for me and hence resonating a Zara BA top back to a charity shop so I would say pay attention to the shape of any top you wear as well as the shade. I think that a nice pastel like pink of lilac might go but I am rubbish when it comes to colours that work together.

Goneistheday · 21/06/2023 07:24

I've got pale pink mum jeans and I like them with either a white or green t shirt, a Vtg 90s blouse tucked in or when it's cooler, a green chunky knit jumper. I like the idea of picking another pink shade to go with them as well.

I’ve got some pink cropped jeans, I’m not very brave so I only wear white tops with them, but it’s a lovely fresh/pastel combination

lljkk · 21/06/2023 07:42

I wear bright colours, including bright pink (am now, actually).

Let me see them, the exact shade.

Anything really, the brighter the better. But can mute down with black, white, navy blue, pale yellow, pale green, too.

ShandaLear · 21/06/2023 07:50

Pink and green look great together - it works for rose bushes!

I’d try on what you have and go for it. I didn’t think of blue or denim! Denim is in re shirts etc right now but it’s bound to be in the sales.

That’s something I think I’ve worn once in my life, denim and chambray shirts!

lljkk · 21/06/2023 09:58

I've been thinking hard about what would clash most. Partly depends on exact shade. I'm assuming solid shade, not a pattern. My best guess on avoid colours are:
fire engine red
almost every shade of brown
custard, mustard, olive, almost any baby shit colour basically
patterns that rely heavily on above colours; Very in-your-face patterns even if the colours are compatible, wearing 2 in-your-face items is hard to carry off.
possibly black; but black could work fine

I come from a place where people wear bright colours, we don't do a lot of black. Bring on the colour.

Good lord. Excellent work that woman!

Cottagecheeseisnotcheese · 21/06/2023 11:06

looks lovely with broderie top cream could work well too also a sagey pale green or most greens except limey ones

OhBling · 21/06/2023 11:38

That looks good. I always feel that jeans, even if they're not blue/black, can almost be worn with any colour (up to a point). In my wardrobe, the off white drapey v-neck top I'm wearing today would work. I have a light blue silky top with polka dots that I think would work too. Plain white t-shirt.

I think some navy tops would also work.

That’s very nice both in terms of top and footwear.

agreed with pp who said to avoid certain colours.

Agreed sage or other greens but not lime would work, the jeans are a perfect summer option.

SBAM · 21/06/2023 12:12

They look great with that broderie top.
I’d be tempted to try sage type greens, baby blue, or lavender shades too.

Are they on the Sainsburys website? You’ve inspired me to look for some coloured jeans.

louderthan · 21/06/2023 12:15

Sage or bottle green
Any shade of grey
Black

lljkk · 21/06/2023 12:44

Just realised i look like a rose bush today then!! Haha!
I need some new pink jeans that fit a rather curvy 16. Any recommendations as to where people are getting them fro m?

Thiswayorthatway · 21/06/2023 12:50
