Recommended on here a million times but Garnier Banana Hair Food is the only thing that works for me. Somewhat.

Viewfrommyhouse · 18/06/2023 19:58

Color Wow does work, but you have to apply it as instructed.

An aeroplane to fly to the artic.

Seriously, I don't think there is. I'm just a frizzball. And now I'm middle aged, I'm past caring. (Actually I do care, hence reading, but I'm sceptical because I've been looking for >30 years).

Thanks for the banana food and colour wow recommendations, I’ll take a look at both of them.

Im middle aged too but keep thinking that science must at some point come up with a way that can stop my hair quadrupling in size and going frizzy the moment humidity goes beyond about 10%. The only good thing about winter is I can hide it under a hat for a few months.

Brazilian blow drys definitely do work but expensive and need done every 3 months or so.

Wish I could find a decent home alternative but tried most and sadly very hit and miss.

Living in hope of new products for my very fine frizzy hair 😀

oreorookie · 18/06/2023 21:34

I follow the colour wow instructions and it doesn't work for me!
Frustrating as I bought into the hype

MrsRachelDanvers · 18/06/2023 21:47

Bumble and bumble hair oil primer with upv protection-I got it to reduce colour fade but it’s an amazing product on my fine, prone to frizz hair.

CherryPosset · 18/06/2023 23:48

nothing wrong with barbados hair.

Catsaysmeiow · 19/06/2023 05:26

I bought the milk shake k respect system (supposed to be salon only but you can buy anything online) and it works amazingly on my hair. Desperately need to redo it next weekend as a have a tidemark of frizz about 10cm from my roots 😱 My hair is naturally curly and I find for the first few weeks my curls to totally disappear but then they come back sooo nice they look like they were done with GHDs. The system can actually be used for improving curls but that method looked way too complicated to try at home.

stayathomer · 19/06/2023 06:15

I use the Shea butter Moroccan milk, an oil and friz ease, then straighten as otherwise my hair beats mg’s😅

If you want to look like Monica on holiday in Barbados then crack on - it's not a look I want.

Thanks for the other suggestions, lots to try. I resorted to a pony tail this morning on the dog walk which resulted in a frizzy wavy fringe and tail, and a straight middle section Confused

I don’t knoooooooooow but I feel your pain OP.

I am JUST about keeping the worst of the frizz at bay with Frizz Ease and Umberto Giannini curl gel. But honestly it’s still not great.

I feel like I have tried everything and nothing ACTUALLY works.

colour wow was a pricey mistake.

rich conditioners make it coated and lank.

curl ranges generally make it worse, even though I am not trying to fight the curl.

blow drying (unless done by a professional) makes it bushy.

I generally air dry which improves the overall condition but it’s still frizzy.

silk pillowcase doesn’t do a lot, though I do
like using it.

microfibre hair towel same.

honestly I just despair. And I’ve kind of given up trying (but I secretly haven’t) at the age of 47 😩
