Not sure what your budget is or how fussy you are about buying supermarket clothes but I had time on my hands today and had a look through the clothes in asda! I noticed a lot of dresses this style (not sure if striped ones), had some “linen-y type ones too

Thanks everyone! Budget is probably around £50-60 but can go higher for the right dress, but it needs to have some interest and structure and also not be the usual polyester/ viscose mix that there is plenty of in the shops right now.

QuintanaRoo that dress from the shirt company looks really good! just wish it wasn't as expensive.

mnahmnah I like that Celtic & Co dress, but should probably mention too that I am short and petite so a max dress swamps me, so I was looking mostly as midi length or shorter

Sadly it’s hard to get a cotton dress at that price these days. I even see some polyester dresses selling for over £100. Every now and then you find a bargain cotton dress in new look or M&S. I won’t wear polyester but I have surrendered to viscose, it’s more breathable and natural than polyester

Agree, viscose shrinks though, no matter how low I go with the wash temperature

Check first thing in the morning. I stalked my size that way. It sold out instantly but more come back each day.
Also, try Tesco Superstore or Tesco Extra branches.

Would also advise sizing up rather than down on this one.
