Anyone used Nioxin System 2 for thinning hair & would tell me your thoughts?

My hair's falling out due to chemo but I'm feeling quite encouraged by some of the other ladies whose hair is actually growing back while still on the chemo. One lady who I usually talk to has had about 1cm tufts grow all over her head in the week since we last spoke!

I've been looking at various products and ways to encourage hair growth and have been recommended Nioxin System 2.

I wondered if any of you have experience of using it & would tell me about it, before I spend £20 on it on amazon (quite a price hike from my usual Lidl shampoo and conditioner).

I also discovered biotin, while googling, and head massage with essential oils, if anyone has any thoughts on either of those too - anything that will encourage it to grow back swiftly really but I'm not sure if I'll just be (literally) washing my money down the drain.

Thanks!

Hi OP, I have using Nioxin 2 for about a year now. I have naturally thick wavy hair but it started falling out in handfuls due to severe stress (my dad was dying).

My hairdresser recommended the Nioxin system (shampoo, conditioner and scalp treatment), also some vitamins (Perfectil gummies). All are pretty expensive I know but, for me, have worked brilliantly. I still lose some hair in the shower but much more 'normal' amounts and my hair looks thick and full, just like it used to and it's in great condition.

Despite the cost I plan to continue with both the Nioxin and the gummies for the foreseeable.

I hope you get the same results and wish you the best of luck with your treatment.

@Wishimaywishimight that sounds really positive, and like it may be worth a shot, thanks for sharing.
