An alternative to linen trousers

Can anyone suggest some alternatives to full length, wide leg, linen trousers for when the weather is too hot for jeans?

I have had a few pairs over the years but they don't suit my personal style - I end up looking a crumpled mess!

I've kept one pair for emergencies but would love to find an alternative.

Also, I need at least a 32" inside leg.

I have wide-leg trousers in 100% viscose from Esprit and Feather and Bone and they are cooler than linen - and in fact cooler than my bare legs in extreme heat - and get way less creased. Not all brands that have 100 per cent viscose are as good, but those two I have several pairs. I live abroad and it's regularly over 30 in summer, so I've thoroughly tested them. Just wash on cool and iron to stop shrinkage.

Tapered trousers work for me, there are ones in thin jersey or cotton mix that are nice and cool. Some are slightly cropped ankle grazer length which is a good summer length. Also harem pant type trousers.

@Goldensparrow I'm on the hunt for some new tapered cotton trousers, super thin like the beach pants surfers wear. I used to buy these from Quicksilver etc but they don't seem to have them now. Where are you buying from?

I am finding linen trousers easier now I have a handheld steamer

Similar to the Espirit ones, I just got these and they are lovely and cool and don’t crease too much. I’ll wear them in the office and at weekends.

I wear these in summer, thin and cool, I have about 5 pairs in different designs, they have some nice ones in New Look too

Do you know the inside leg measurement? They just say 'full length'. I'm a similar height to the model and they look a good length on her.
