My 12 year old needs formal wear for a prize giving ceremony. She is 5 foot 1, just at the beginning of puberty, and has a bit of puppy fat on her which she's self conscious about. In normal life she likes wide leg jeans, cargo pants and band t-shirts.
I have absolutely no idea what to get her for this event (where she'll be called on stage to receive a prize)
