My late DMIL had great style and left a selection of vintage formalwear when she died. DH and I are going to a black tie ball on 1 July and I’m thinking of wearing this Pucci outfit - it’s a long, full cotton skirt and jacket (perfect for high summer!). The skirt fits perfectly and just hits the floor in my bare feet. The jacket is too big in the bust (DMIL was always slim but much more of an apple shape than I am) so I may not bother with it, or just use it as an “over” layer.
I’d really appreciate suggestions on what else to wear with it and where to source them. My thoughts are: white sleeveless top, white block heels and white clutch, but I’m open to other ideas. I think the skirt is really elegant but “busy”, so simple but very good quality for the rest would look best. Jewellery and nail polish suggestions also very much welcome.
