I think I've fucked up my hair.

I have shoulder length highlighted hair. It's naturally wavy (frizzy) and very dry. I'm growing it so I'm really looking after it. I use kerastase products including the hair mask. I wash and condition my hair approximately every five days and put a mask on the lengths every other time. I dry and straighten it using revlon one leave in conditioner and kerastase oil on the lengths. This all works well.

For the last 2 weeks I've been on holiday in a hot country. In order to counteract the drying sun I've been wetting my hair (not necessarily shampooing it), applying conditioner etc and then leaving it to dry naturally. I've used the hair mask twice. The last time was last night and I decided to put it all over my hair not just on the lengths.
Complete disaster. I thought at first that I had failed to wash the mask out of the top of my hair, so washed it again. It looks greasy, lank and feels as if it's full of product.
I've been Googling and it appears all the water and conditioner has over moisturised it. No idea what to do.
Does anyone have any experience of this?

Just leave it for a few days it will be fine

Thank you both. I'll buy some clarifying shampoo and then leave well alone. I'm not very good at that. I like fiddling.

Air drying often isn't kind to your hair: https://www.elle.com.au/beauty/is-air-drying-hair-bad-28177

Use whatever cheap hotel shampoo they have to clarify and then just do whatever you normally do.

Tresemme clarifying shampoo has saved me from this. And coconut oil.
And pink shampoos don't didn't wash out.

And it's also saved me from a hair dye disaster where I turned my blonde into almost black by accident (dark blonde box dye!)

Tresemme Clarifying shampoo took it right back to a mousy blonde even when Head & Shoulders and Vosene couldn't!

It's great :)

What are pink shampoos?

Right, I've been to the only shop in the village ( we're very isolated) and bought a bottle of head and shoulders, then dried it with a hairdryer. It's much better and is nearly all out. Thank you everyone.
