Tall 14 yr old smart summer dress

Where do you go for young teenagers’ dresses? Family party coming up, an occasion, doesn’t have to be especially fancy, but ideally more smart than casual.

DD wants something knee length. All I can find is mini or midi. She’s tall: mini would definitely be mini. It all looks distinctly either adult or child, nothing in between.

Many teens shop in Primark so that might be a good place to look.

Try looking at Next Tall, Asos Tall, H&M tall etc

The Storm range at Monsoon? Or teens range at Mango. River Island is often good too. They have plenty 6s in ladies range if teen stuff doesn’t suit

My dd is tall and same age. Primark all the way for her for this kind of thing - she picked up some really pretty tea dresses which she's worn to lunch with granny type stuff.

Also H&M - she recently got a strappy jumpsuit which can have a t shirt under but also was decent enough without.

We've tried lots of other shops but these 2 suit her best and hit a reasonable balance for her and not too shocking for granny (although granny prided herself on having the shortest mini skirts in college herself...)
