Festival face glitter for kids - what do I need?

I’ve volunteered to sort face glitter for a Yr 6 leavers party. I’ve been told Vaseline is good for applying it but looking for advice on what else I need to get eg sponges, brushes, cotton buds??? Obviously there will be a lot of different children so what’s the best and a hygienic way of applying it. Also any recommendations of which glitter to get and how much I am likely to need for 45 children. Does anyone have any ideas for tattoos suitable for Yr 6 leavers? Any ideas welcome. My mind is frazzled 🤯

The fine sand like glitter was the easiest to actually use. The kind with different shapes looked so much more appealing but was the very devil to use and to keep in place. I ended up using it only on top of the fine glitter as an accent. Couldn't get it to stick proper otherwise

Any of the glues worked fine, I didn't really notice any difference between them

Early attempts were a bit of a mess until I discovered 'glitter tattoo stencils'. A few mixed selections got me started and then I got extra of the few that worked really well.

Glitter in pots is just an accident waiting to happen. I'm sure it works well for me (and I have loads of pots I'd be happy to donate ...)

Never looked back,

Miinimum kit was

• box of stencils,
• the fine sand bio-degradable glitter in squeezy plastic bottles with long thin necks
• tube of glue
• packet of wet wipes

Thank you so much for this detailed response. The party is festival themed so I was thinking just a swoosh of glitter from side of the forehead to the top of cheekbone but not sure what to use to apply it hygienically to lots of different children. Would you use the squeezy glitter glue for this or is that better for tattoos? Will definitely get stencils for tattoos as I’m not arty at all 😂
