Anyone here got Carol Vorderman's bum at 60?

Is it really achievable to maintain a bum like Carol's after menopause? One of the more trivial things I'm dreading about menopause is losing my reasonably-sized arse, which I hear is going to flatten and descend down the backs of my legs. Is this ALWAYS the case?!

You can always buy one from the same place she did.

Haha - did she buy it? I'm not THAT bothered, just wondering...

My bum is in good nick, I'm nearly 58. I walk and cycle, and generally do a fair bit of active stuff. I'm guessing that's why it's alright still

ZaZathecat · 09/06/2023 18:32

I imagine a bit of decent foundation wear lifts it up. I don't bother myself

lindyloo57 · 09/06/2023 18:36

I would love a bum like carols, mine was ok, not big, but sadly menopause has taken it away, I do lots of walking, gardening but it stays flat.

resistingreality · 09/06/2023 18:42

Squats. Do loads of them. Really works.

MrsMoastyToasty · 09/06/2023 18:46

DH says he's going to get her bum and not give it back.
She's his celebrity crush.

Coffeeandcards · 09/06/2023 18:47

Has she misplaced it? 😜

Missingmyusername · 09/06/2023 18:49

“which I hear is going to flatten and descend down the backs of my legs.” 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Ahh something to look forward to.

Newgolddream70 · 09/06/2023 18:50

You could always buy a pair of those pants with bum cheek padding built in!

xXiXx · 09/06/2023 18:50

I've got a massive arse, it's where I store my fat, so I'm hoping that a little bit of bum will remain. I know what you mean though., that zero flesh on your bum is a very ageing look. For some reason, buttock implants is a very dangerous procedure. Not sure why it's so much more dangerous than breast implants but it seems that it is. If you think a flat bum is bad, imagine the eulogy for the wife/mother who lost her life having a butt cheek implants. If it's possible to be embarrassed after you've died, i'd manage it.

LadyAstor · 09/06/2023 18:54

Lift weights and eat plenty of protein.

Carol has had a little help I think.

maranella · 09/06/2023 18:57

I have no idea what Carol Vorderman's bum looks like, but what you're describing about your bum going flat is what happens if you don't exercise. You have to do squats, pliés, curtseys, lunges, etc like a mad woman and walk/run and then your arse stays where it should be. Or you could just get a Brazilian butt lift, but they're apparently very risky and you can die. So the exercise is probably best! HTH.

I believe it was part of a package with the tits and facelift. Not sure what else was included though.

pimplebum · 09/06/2023 19:02

Mine is great

stop reading shite

Mumsnut · 09/06/2023 19:04

I have Carol’s bum somewhere underneath my own

Suddenlysummer · 09/06/2023 19:09

Mine's bigger than hers but still pert! I'm nearly 74.

Lilibert456 · 09/06/2023 19:12

There isn't much left of the original Carol Vorderman.

Krustykrabpizza · 09/06/2023 19:17

Jeez I think carol's ass looks utterly ridiculous, like an even crapper Kardashian

AuntieStella · 09/06/2023 19:21

Mine ain't in bad shape. Indeed from waist down I'm pretty toned.

But that's because I'm a distance runner, and I do lots of squats and lunges as complementary workouts

Annasgirl · 09/06/2023 19:27

I know loads of women IRL who have a really toned bun over the age of 60. The secret? They exercise - think long distance swimming or running or cycling. The myth of losing your tone after menopause is because a lot of women stop - or never started- exercising. And a sedate walk doesn’t count.

Carol looks ridiculous in real life.

mondaytosunday · 10/06/2023 08:26

Keep your weight steady and exercise. Pilates is good.
Most of my friend are now post menopausal and none of them had significant changes to their figures. Sure their 'flesh' may not be as smooth or as firm as before but still look fab. Unfortunately the one or two of us who were overweight before are still overweight!
