What will close pores after nose strips?

I use nose strips every few weeks but the pores remain open for ages and then just seem to clog up again.
What can I use to close the pores after I've cleared the crap out so the skin stays clear and doesn't just get more blackheads again?!

Toner

Thanks @DedicatedFolllowerofFashion
Stupid question alert, do you just use it straight after you've used the strip?
Any recommendations for good toners?
I don't really 'do' skin care apart from a face wash and moisturiser with spf 🙈

Pores don't open and close. They do get bigger as they get clogged up, but then shrink back when any blockage is removed.

Pores don't open and close, they are just there. It sounds like you are describing sebaceous filaments- they are meant to be in our pores so ripping them out doesn't work

I'd put the strips away and use a daily salicylic acid toner to dissolve the black tops off and you will be a lot happier about your pores.

@AnnaMagnani ah thank you! That seems to be exactly what they are! How did I get to 38 and not know this?!

Nip Fab glycolic pads completely sorted the pores on my nose in just a few weeks. They removed the sebaceous filaments and the pores gradually shrunk. You can’t even see them now.
