Watching with interest as I need a nice swimsuit for summer holiday. Leisure not sport!
I've tried a couple in Peacocks and only my word I looked terrible, did nothing for my stomach.

I've ordered a few from JD Williams, reasonably priced and sizing is OK.
I went through a phase of wearing swimdresses but tbh I think they draw attention rather than hide it so I've gone back to swimsuits.

Read a thread recently which took me to look at reviews of sea fancy as I was also considering this style and it put me right off. Sounds like quality and fit are an issue and returns are nigh on impossible.

I think you get what you pay for with plus size swimwear. It needs a bit more structure. I've learned from bitter experience not to scrimp 😬

Oh, no. Thanks for the warning. Will buy elsewhere. Back to the drawing board, then...

I've just bought this and it's really lovely and looks great on I think they do other colourways although not on this link. It even works strapless with my "generous" bust 😊

Oh damm you ! I really like this 😂

I am a size 18-20 and the best swimsuit I’ve found this year is from asda for £18 - their body sculpting range. I got it to replace my similar one from M and S which was £35ish and I actually think the Asda one is better!

I have also invested in some modibodi high waisted bikini bottoms as I suffer with problematic unreliable periods and incontinence and thought they might do the job, coupled with some bright bikini tops from New Look which come up a bit big in a size 16. I would never normally wear a bikini but I’m going abroad soon for the first time in 20 years and determined to just go for it.

I've ordered the snag one with capped sleeves, and it's lovely. And a bargain at £40 compared to some of the others if been looking at.

Ooh great idea for a thread! I'm looking for something like swim shorts to cover my upper inner thighs where I have some unsightly fat deposits (lovely!). I'm hoping to find some that aren't like baggy board shorts but not done much browsing yet. If anyone knows of anything like that please share ☺️

Really love this, will definitely have a look at magisculpt range - thank you! Not too badly priced either.

You are right, I don't know why I was expecting miracles in Peacocks - I was definitely brought back to reality with a bump, quite literally Blush

grayhairdontcare · 07/06/2023 17:15

Think I will order that magi sculpt costume myself.

Landsend do amazing supportive swimsuits. They are stupidly expensive when full price £120+ but they frequently do sales. I've bought 3 over the last 5 years & they are mega supportive for bigger boobs & tummy. They're not underwired but have good structuring around the bust & they hold the tummy in but also have a ruched layer to disguise any lumps & bumps.
Worth every penny.

grayhairdontcare · 07/06/2023 22:20

I actually don't mind paying for something that is flattering and good quality

Seafancy trustpilot reviews are pretty bad.

JanecounselloratReroot · 16/06/2023 13:16

Do not buy from Seafancy as they have no returns service. They take ages to reply and won't tell you where to return anything to. Really frustrating!
