I love them but what do you wear them with? I could wear as a dressing gown but they're just too nice.

Can you wear one with linen trousers and a t shirt?

I've got one of the shorter ones, it's beautiful. I'be worn it with slim fit trousers and a plain vest underneath.

I wear mine with flared jeans, pretty sandals (flat, sparkly flip flops) a vest, big earrings, large rings and a Lowewe straw bag.

thebabessavedme · 06/06/2023 21:23

that's a long one btw. I have a large collection of kimonos, new and vintage, i Like that style on me.

JMAngel1 · 06/06/2023 21:23

Strictly as a dressing gown here.

Cocopogo · 06/06/2023 21:26

Their website shows them wore with all different things so you can choose a style that suites you and follow that

I've got a short one I wore over a posh dress at a wedding. Also wear it over a white t shirt and jeans.

I'd wear a long one over jeans / shorts / on the beach. I don't know if they're all the same material, but mine's quite sheer so is sort of 'floaty cover up' vibes.

DeoForty · 06/06/2023 21:35

I have a short one that I wear in summer over a scrappy dress or top. I also have one of the duster coats which I tend to wear in autumn (because of the colours) over a high necked body suit and wide leg black jeans and boots.

This was me on holiday a few year ago in mine - love it but it doesn't get worn often maybe that is my choice of print and lack of holidays.

They are very very thin material.

I've just bought a short kimono for my DMs birthday but I feel a bit embarrassed giving it to her because it's so thin and sheer.

However our summers are getting warmer and she goes on holiday a lot so I'm hoping it'll get lots of wear

CharlotteStreetW1 · 07/06/2023 08:52

I have a short one which I wear over jeans or crop trousers with a plain top. Trouble is most of my tops are patterned so I don't have much it goes with. I think it will end up being a holiday cover-up.

WildFlowerBees · 07/06/2023 13:32

Thank you, I had a good feel of some this morning, they are very thin so I've bought a lovely floaty cotton kimono instead.

Thanks for the thread. I've just noticed Kimonos this yewr and fancy one but didn't know where to start 😄

Summer dressing gown here as they are very thin - work as a nice cover up to a cami nightdress/ shorts set. I love mine - it makes me feel all floaty and glamorous and like I have a country house sort of lifestyle.

HappiDaze · 18/06/2023 21:44

I gave my DM the Paris short kimono for her birthday and it looks lovely on her, hangs well plus she loves it.

It actually went perfectly with her top and trousers so she wore it when we went out and it's perfect of course in this hot weather.

DD borrowed it to wear because the air con was a bit chilly for her and it looked great with her outfit too.

So yes an excellent purchase as it turns out.

ramonaquimby · 18/06/2023 22:05

Just as a dressing gown. I love it. Thought would feel ridiculous wearing it out of house. Looks great on other people!

NeverendingCircus · 18/06/2023 22:10

I wear mine as a dressing gown. I'd love to have the courage to wear it out and about but it is down to my ankles. The shorter ones are more suited to chucking on in summer over a vest top and jeans. They are very thin fabric but very durable too. It is ideal for taking away on holiday, wearing down to the beach over swimwear etc.
