Dress wedding guest suitable? Pic x

Hi all,

I'm currently 21 weeks pregnant. Maternity clothing too big, usual sizing of clothes slightly tight, after ordering a few dresses this one was the best fit.

Im so worried about the colour, is it too white? Would you be annoyed if a guest at your wedding wore this dress? The wedding is this Saturday!

Look forward to responses

Do you know what colour the bridesmaids are wearing?

Too white id say

MariaVT65 · 05/06/2023 08:23

I think that’s lovely!

Also people need to be understand. I’m also at the stage of ‘my clothes are too tight but too small for maternity clothes’.

NoNeedToArgue · 05/06/2023 08:24

It's lovely op, you look great. No way it's too white!

Yamaya · 05/06/2023 08:26

I think it's perfect. It looks lovely on you.

MaudGonneOutForChips · 05/06/2023 08:32

That’s fine.

Doggymummar · 05/06/2023 08:34

The colour is fine, no worries

IneedcoffeeinanIV · 05/06/2023 08:37

I think it's fine. I'm getting married this year and wouldn't blink an eyelid if one of my quests wore this. You look lovely!

madeinmanc · 05/06/2023 08:41

I'm going to be brutally honest, for me it would depend on whether there's any chance of you upstaging the bride. You do look very beautiful in the dress, and it's clear you're very good looking yourself; I'd say as long as there's no chance that you are going to outshine the bride then it's fine. If she might not look as good as you, there could be a slight question mark over it, which is where the white-ish colour would come into play.

Quitelikeacatslife · 05/06/2023 08:57

It's pretty and you look lovely but it is a bit white and frilly. A little bit bridal
Is it your usual style? Can you show us sone other options? Maybe ones you think are too tight will just look glamorous pregnant?

InAFettle · 05/06/2023 09:00

I think if you don’t know the bride well enough you would know the answer or to ask her then you should probably look at other options.

Cyanchicken · 05/06/2023 10:00

Too bridal I think unless you tone it down with coloured cardigan / jacket - sorry!

FartNRoses · 05/06/2023 10:13

Nothing bridal about it OP!

You look great!

fireflyloo · 05/06/2023 10:15

It is beautiful but for a second I thought you were a pregnant bride and struggling to find a dress.

Teabab · 05/06/2023 10:18

I think it looks gorgeous and not bridal.

IkeaMeatballGravy · 05/06/2023 10:19

If you have to ask, it's too white!

I sympathise as I am in the same mid pregnancy situation, but if it's crossed your mind that it may be unsuitable then other guests, maybe even the bride will probably think it too.

ICalledYouLastNightFromGlasgow · 05/06/2023 10:20

I think it's a bit bridal.

professionalnomad · 05/06/2023 10:28

it's fine

Nousernamesleftatall · 05/06/2023 10:30

It’s lovely. I would wear it.

I agree.
If you think it might not be appropriate then other guests will too

SoupDragon · 05/06/2023 10:35

I don't think it's bridal at all because it has a floral pattern all over it.

coloured jacket/wrap/cardigan/accessories and all is good.

Mumsnut · 05/06/2023 10:40

I think it’s fine.

This is absurd!!! Many guests often upstage brides, because they're beautiful and stylish and brides may be not as blessed in that department. Should those guests attend dressed in a sack???

CreamTeaThievery · 05/06/2023 10:41

I'm usually in the it's fine camp but that is a very pale yellow pattern which might not show well on the photos.

I wouldn't wear this one.
