Here we ago again- it's another wedding guest dress thread!

So after my post the other day the lovely looking dress I has bought for my cousin's wedding arrived and it wasn't great. It was much tighter than I imagined and there were loads of pulled threads in the fabric. Granted it was a vinted find but they weren't mentioned anywhere in the ad 🙄

If the fit was good I would be able to overlook the pulls but it just isn't (photos attached).

To add to it the shoes I ordered that were very much cream in the ad are actually a dusky pink/ nude tone!
So a new (to me) dress is now on its way. Do we think this is appropriate for a wedding and I won't look absolutely ridiculous? Will it go with my new, nude Mary Janes I ordered for the other outfit?

Should I whip out the leather dye and dye the shoes a better colour?

Help is needed from the Mumsnet hive mind 🤦

The dress being returned is the short one. Please excuse the living room at my mum's house.

I really like the second dress - I'd wear it to a wedding 😊

I know it's a beauty isn't it! The seller thinks it's from the 60s (as opposed to a 60s style newer dress). It helps that she seems to have a similar body type to me based on her other ads so I'm hoping it fits well!
