Suggestions for best sort of (fabric) clothes for very humid temp for tween DC

Going to Thailand in July and whilst DC would like to wear their usual big brand name clothing (sports wear etc), I suspect they will boil in them....want to buy cool (literally, as in not hot) clothes for them.

So, shorts and tops - linen would be best, but that's nigh on impossible to find for their age group. Cotton? Any suggestions, please?

I can't imagine a teen in linen! Just let them.wear their normal shorts and t-shirts!

Er, yeah...that's why I said it's nigh on impossible to find...because no tween would wear it. Normal t shirts and shorts for them are non natural fibers which are awful for the climate. Hence why i'm here. Thanks for your helpful input.

If you/DC don't want/can't find linen, cotton would be the best, yes. I find linen a bit better, but most of my summer clothes are cotton (like most of my non-summer clothes) and it's a fine material for heat. You should be able to find cotton shorts and cotton sleeveless tops for them in most children's sections of most shops, I would think.
