Hi All,
I’m a fairly poor packer at the best of times, had long dresses and white trainers planned but the forecast is for around 24 degrees plus rain over a few days of the holiday. Can you please suggest what to bring, won’t have time to get to a shop before leaving Saturday. I do have lots of clothes but am rubbish at outfit planning and always bring too much of the wrong clothes away and then rewear a couple of things constantly. Size 14-16, 5 foot 6, past 50. Lots of city walking planned. Thanks!

I'd stick with trainers but would take some wide leg trousers, thin summer style with drawstring waist, to go with t shirts and oversized cotton shirts. A very light rain coat, I have a Rains one and it's great.

I feel like that's kind of a UK summer, where I am anyway.

I'd be taking jeans, light trainers and a light rain coat. T shirts for underneath and a cardigan or two just in case.

Comfy day outfits and shoes, for walking/sightseeing plus a few longer dresses for evenings with cardigan/jacket with sandals. Sunhat and light waterproof.

Thanks for the replies and ideas, had no T-shirts planned only vest tops so good call. Will also bring a cardigan and maybe two pairs of trousers that I wear for work in summer. Phew, crisis averted 🙂

I am just on my way back from two weeks in Italy, staying in Lake Garda. Before we went the forecast was very poor, temperatures of about 16 and rain. We had two weeks of sunny weather with temperatures of about 25 every day. Just one evening of rain. So I would say to take the forecast with a pinch of salt.
