It's my significant birthday (50) in 3 weeks and I have an fab night/weekend out arranged with all my best friends. I'd bought lovely (expensive) sequinned dress and was about to buy new heels to go with it when i had an accident a few days ago - badly twisted ankle in one leg and scrapped knee and badly bruised other leg. Basically won't be able to wear heels and my legs look pretty mashed up ! I'm not sure dress looks all that without heels and it was expensive so will send it back.
So I'm looking at alternatives perhaps trouser suit which I can wear flats or trainers with -
I'm 5ft 2 - with boobs up top and tummy below - so need petite ideally.
Generally 10/12 up top and 12 bottoms.
I'm really struggling to find something though.
I looked at a white trouser suit at Reiss which was perfect but for the trousers which were unlined and so looked really bad (as could see pockets through blazer was lovely).
Can anyone suggest any other ideas ? I've ordered a Hobbs petite suit in red but I don't love it - and another Reiss one in pink (although suspicious the trousers will be similarly see through)
Karen Millen had some stuff in but haven't shopped there in forever and I'm not sure if quality.
I really need petite and would prefer wide leg.
At this point in time budget is v flexible (dress was £350)....
