Vivienne Westwood jewellery

I've been watching Selling Sunset and in between the eye popping outfits, I noticed that Mary wore several beautiful Vivienne Westwood chokers and earrings. I've had a look on the website - the chokers are £200 plus, but the orb necklaces and earrings are closer to £100

Does anyone have VW jewellery and do you like it / rate it?

I don't own any but, when I was thinking of treating myself for a big birthday a few years ago, I was advised that her jewellery was a bit of a money generator and not particularly well made. I didn't verify that info so I'm not sure how accurate it is. (I bought a trouser suit on the last day of the sales instead!)

Ds has a necklace as do all the youngsters it seems, so much for something that isn't even silver but he loves it.

Unfortunately it’s massively faked so that would put me off.

I have a mother of pearl orb necklace, it's tarnished terribly due to the fact it's not silver/gold. Sad, because I loved it.

I have some VW pieces which I love for the fact they are interesting, BUT they aren’t very well made.

I've had a few pieces and unfortunately it's all made from very cheap materials. All of it is plated metal or plastic, so the patina wears off, the plastic pearls flake, the earring posts bend.... You're as well to buy the knock offs on eBay or Shein.

I have some silver diamanté skull & crossbow earrings & a silver necklace that I have had for years, still perfect!

My DD has orb earrings and necklace. They aren't wearing that well.

The pearl chokers are pretty indeed. The pearls are coated glass beads and the metal orb and fastener is plated brass. They can easily be affected by sweat, perfume, body lotion from your skin.

They sell lovely sterling silver pieces of jewellery on their website too. Just not chokers in that material.

Right, mixed reports to say the least. I would like some decent quality for that sort of money so thanks everyone for saving me some 💰!
