Anybody tried collagen?

Hi, I was just wondering if anybody has ever tried collagen supplements - in particular Absolute Collagen. I’m 45 and looking for a bit of a helping hand with ageing skin, fine lines, dry hair and gum health. I have been looking at Absolute Collagen but wow so expensive! I wouldn’t mind paying the mad prices if these products actually work! TIA

I take the Willpowders collagen. It’s a tasteless powder. It definitely makes my hair grower more quickly (but I have a bob so don’t want it to!). I think the evidence is there for joints/hair/nails etc but not for anti- aging and wrinkles. So I wouldn’t expect an impact in that area.

I've started taking collagen recently, just the tablets from Holland and Barrett - because once I'd googled it I got 5 million adverts for different brands, and got overwhelmed, so I went into the shop and picked the most basic one I could find. I think my skin is feeling softer and smoother, definitely on my arms anyway. I'll carry on a bit longer!
